A historical novel of spiritual conflict and marital drama, anyone?

I would totally be interested in BCing/DPLing.

About 125,000 words, or 13-14 hours of finished recording. Not bad for a group project; it would be a large solo.

A quick summary of the movie (and I assume the book) is given here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piccolo_mondo_antico

Translator, Mary Prichard-Agnetti, died in 1948, so it's not Life+70 PD. :(
School fiction: David Blaize
America Exploration: The First Four Voyages of Amerigo Vespucci
Serial novel: The Wandering Jew
Medieval England meets Civil War Americans: Centuries Apart

Thanks, Tricia! I hadn't found an English summary yet.

And I had definitely envisioned it as a group project. :)

I posted that in case someone out there was thinking of soloing it. It's doable, but would be better for an experienced soloist rather than a newbie. :)

Update on this: I'm considering eventually doing it as a dramatic reading once I get a little bit more editing experience, and might start prepping the text soon. If anyone's interested in participating (for instance, it would be great to get a DPL lined up :) ), let me know.

Just a note in case anyone in a life+70 years country was interested in this back in 2014 -- the translator died in 1948 so this is now PD for all as far as I can tell!
