Victorian(ish) erotica. I mentioned this before and only bring it up again because I have a link to the text now-

It isn't on Project Gutenberg.

I think we try to stay away from Wikisource as a text source, because they slap a CC license on their texts:

Not to be difficult -- but we'd need the publication year too (and ideally a scan of the original to be sure there were no transcription "improvements"). Most Archive texts have that of course, but this one seems to be different (requiring download) so I haven't checked.
Unfortunately, just because whoever uploaded it to Archive put "public domain" on it doesn't mean it's PD in the US. I have seen quite a few that were PD somewhere else, like Canada, but under copyright in the US.

Ah... Uh, recursion problem. *I* posted that text on Archive. It is tagged as public domain because that it what I believe it is as far as I know (going off the 'first published in 1908' comment). Its existence on Archive is not evidence of public domainness for purposes here.

I would suggest that you change the Public Domain designation on the Archive page; it will be taken as legal fact by most who read it although its true status is unclear.
