Aren't those lists great! I found The Story of the Greeks, and I thought that it would be perfect for breaking in newbies. After that one is done, The Story of the Romans is next!

Great Astronomers is on its way into the catalog. https://librivox.org/great-astronomers-by-robert-stawell-ball/

It's in Year 10 here http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Recordings_of_Books_on_the_Ambleside_List_4 and Year 9 here http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Recordings_of_Books_on_the_Ambleside_List_3 and years 5 and 8 here: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Recordings_of_Books_on_the_Ambleside_List_2

Wow - knocked off books from 4 lists at one time - and learned a lot in the process!

In the book list for year 4, the text link to A book of Golden Deeds by Yonge goes to Madame How and Lady Why by Kingsley. The text for Golden Deeds is available on Gutenberg here: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/6489

Thanks, Lucy. Corrected. I shouldn't be surprised if there were other errors - doing this made me go cross-eyed .

I'm planning on BCing The Inspector General by Nicolai Gogol (from Year 11) sometime in the new year. (The translator died in 1943 or I'd start it up sooner.)

The Inspector-General is now on the launchpad. It is very funny and should be a great deal of fun.
