4 stories in this book, which would be nice for beginner solos:
Carmen done
The Taking of the Redoubt
Mateo Falcone done
The Venus of Ille.
I only know the first and last, but they would be nice readings. Each story could be read independently.

Welcome
I see Starlite has pointed you in the right direction in your other post - We don't usually recommend people to start on a Solo, it's good to have a bit of a practise run first - so if you read the newbie guide and try out the technical test so you get tweak your settings to suit your voice and our needs it would be great
And ask about anything in the guide you don't follow

Yes, maybe I should have written "suited for first solo", it is still a good idea to read a couple of chapters before starting a solo. Even though these stories are short, Carmen for instance (about 3-4h of reading) would probably take you 15h or so if it were your first reading (including the editing time that is).

Carmen has been recorded and is in the catalog:

Matteo Falcone was recorded as part of International Short Stories Volume 3: French Stories:

Of course, additional recordings are always welcome. Matteo Falcone comes in at around 30 min and would work in a short fiction collection.

Of the other two, it appears that Venus of Ille is over 80 pages in the book, so would probably work best as a standalone as it would likely take more than an hour of recording time. The Taking of the Redoubt is short-story length.
