I came across this while reading a Wikipedia entry, and thought it might be a fun addition to LV - if anyone from the US would be interested.
Publication date is 1907, but since the author only died in 1967, it's out of bounds to us in Europe and other +50/+70 countries :(

from Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chelsea,_London):
In a curious book, Bohemia in London by Arthur Ransome which is a partly fictional account of his early years in London, published in 1907 when he was 23, there are some fascinating, rather over-romanticised accounts of bohemian goings-on in the quarter.
and (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Ransome):
In his first important book, Bohemia in London (1907), Ransome introduced the history of London's bohemian literary and artistic communities and some of its current representatives.
There are four versions on Archive.org

I was a bit scared off though by ExEmGe's remark in the summary of Old Peter Russian's Tales by the same Arthur Ransome (http://librivox.org/old-peters-russian-tales-by-arthur-ransome/):
This is the only example of his fiction in the public domain.
but I'm thinking Bohemia in London is not really fiction (or at least 'only partial'), so all hope is not lost...

I was obviously being a bit sweeping & should have said 'That I know of' I really just intended to distinguish between his better known fiction and his Russian reportage. Sorry.
