I discovered today that Yeats' work is now out of copyright in Europe (i think!) as he died in 1939. With author's death + 70 years, that should mean his works are in the public domain....in europe at least?

Yes indeed, it is now PD in all "author's death +70" countries, and as it was published in 1903, it is also PD in the US where our files are hosted.
