I recently noticed that there are no works by George Fox (1624-1691) in the LibriVox catalogue. He was certainly one of the most important Christian thinkers and the founder of Quakerism, a very unique interpretation of Christianity.

George Fox's Journal (1903) by George Fox

George Fox, an Autobiography (1903) by George Fox, Rufus Matthew Jones

Passages from the life and writings of George Fox, taken from his Journal. With the desire on the part of the editor to give a fair representation of his character and religious views, and to lead the reader to seek a fuller acquaintance with them ([189-?])

Still no works of Fox's recorded, but two are available at Project Gutenberg:

George Fox: An Autobiography
https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/43031

About 150,000 words and anyone taking this on would have to decide what to do about the footnotes. There are a lot of them and they generally are pretty meaty in terms of additional information but there would be a lot of stopping and starting of the main text.

Gleanings from the Works of George Fox by George Fox and Dorothy Richardson
https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/57926

Much more manageable project - book was about 110 pages long. It's a collection of excerpts from Fox's writings arranged thematically, looks like a fairly easy solo or group project and a good way to finally get some Fox on Librivox (hey, a rhyme!)

I am going to start listening to the (still incomplete) Rufus Jones biography... wanted to say that I have a recording of a chapter of The Journal of George Fox, since my reading is slow and sometimes people read aloud to me and I record it. I can also record 5 minutes at a time on my own.
