The Lady of the Basement Flat

and several books for young people

Browsing the first chapters of these books, she sounds like a good read. Active in the late 1800's - early 1900's. Died in 1915 or so. Maiden name: Jessie Bell of I think Liverpool. No wiki on her, and as usual, de nada from PG :(. Found info via Google.

The Pixie O'Shaugnnesy series has 2 books done and a third in progress.

But there are plenty more!
