Noli Me Tángere is a novel written by José Rizal, one of the national heroes of the Philippines, during the colonization of the country by Spain to describe perceived inequities of the Spanish priests and the ruling government.

HI April and welcome!

I've read the Noli back in 2012 in English. Was a massive undertaking with some 20 hours completed...

It would be great to have it in our catalog in Tagalog as well, I know this book is THE national book of the Philippines. However, I would not recommend taking it on as a solo, because it is so long. As far as I know, we don't have anyone else who could PL in Tagalog at the moment either, so you'd be very, very lonely in that project. So, maybe wait until you're a bit more experienced?

In fact, there was another volunteer who started that book but did not complete it. She read only the first 7 sections or so, with more than 50 still to come... (admins, it's here: viewtopic.php?t=40005)
