Okay, I don't believe tina's problems were ever edited. Peastman's errors, however, should be corrected. (I don't know whether anybody has listened to his file since he posted the revised version?)

Wow, things are looking great :D.

Does anybody know/recall what the problems are with peastman and tina's recording (I see them listed as needing edits, although I seem to remember peastman submitting a revised version?). I guess I'll look back through the posts ...

This is my attachment-file-in-progress : http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=A1A6E860158FC8E8 It's very scattered and disorganized, so we need to concoct some sort of order for it. Preferably not listing the precise time in the recording the equations are uttered, because ...

Help!

OK, I have some questions for the legally savvy. I am working on this compilation of formulas and figures and I have found a .tex file on Gutenberg that includes code for the figures. Being lazy I would rather use their figures than create my own. Is this legal/Should I include credit somewhere? (wh...

Absolutely! Make sure to read through all of our detail-obsessed guidelines first, though ;).

Any suggestions on how to present the formulae? Should I include the text immediately surrounding a given formula to give it some context, or just create a list of formulae? (Also, should all formulae be included - including simpler ones such as w= c-v - or just ones that might be ambiguous to the l...

hmm ... actually the book's appendices have tables and graphs in them, and I don't even want to THINK about how those would be presented verbally. Scratch that idea.

Ooh, I like the appendix idea :)! And speaking of appendixes, I am working on the file with all of the formulas - I was wondering if we should include a text version of the appendixes of the book in it? I decided they were too mathematical to be read aloud, although if anybody's up for it, we could ...

Now if you decide to let the formula readings be "normal" instead of "super-perfect," you'll have to switch them back. Noooo! In any case your "picking apart" is very helpful. I am thinking, though, largely for the sanity of our re-re-(re?)-readers, m...

I will have to listen to chocoholic :), I have not heard her... Anyway, no need to write and scan. We can make a pdf with the formulas easily enough on the computer (I'll get that done at some point this week). As far as the formulas read aloud thing goes... I think it is going to be very difficult ...

Thank you, chocoholic! Ah, this math reading out loud business is tricky, because while we want to be accurate, we also want the listener to be able to understand what we're talking about without having to do research :P. I am thinking about how to do this best, but Anita if you have any ideas in mi...

and my accent XD? I grew up in New England ... I think maybe it's the I-don't-talk-very-much-except-on-stage-so-my-voice-sounds-silly accent. No interesting heritage, I'm sorry to report.

Yep, thanks a bunch. I think the different wordings are due to different editions, and basically equivalent (unless anyone objects), but I will try to grapple with the equations you brought up :). Thanks again!
