Re: [Group] Favorite Fairy Tales-gu
I regret to have to post that I do not think I will be able to record the story I claimed. Health and computer problems have unfortunately prohibited me from completing it. Thanks for your patience!

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that my computer has been down recently. It caught some virus, but fortunately all my harddrive (and librivox recordings) were saved. It might take a little while for me to get my computer up and running again. But both of my stories I claimed here are already recorde...

Re: What's great about volunteering on LibriVox?
2 reasons, which I'll try to make as brief as possible: 1) I've loved recording books on tape for as long as I can remember-- even when a little kid before I could read I was "narrating" my picture books on the tape recorder! This is the only thing I've ever really wanted to do so badly, a...

Re: Resources for finding like minded authors on the PD
OH! Lamplighter Publishing? http://www.lamplighterpublishing.com/ If you haven't heard of them before, they recently started dramatizing some audio productions of the books they publish. They may have dramatized some of the stories by the authors you listed. I know they publish some books by A.L.O.E...

Re: (Fairy Tales) The Olive Fairy Book by Andrew Lang - mb
Hi there! I was wondering if anybody could help me with the following pronunciations. I was able to find most of the ones I needed, but am stuck on: Riquette Ismenor Kupti Can anyone help? If not, I may post in the Need Help forum, or just muddle through on my own. But I like to be correct if I can....

Re: Quality of delivery?
This discussion reminds me of an idea I've been mulling around for a while, but I guess I've just been too timid to suggest it. But I'll try and be bold now and see what the LibriVox team thinks: What if we made a thread [perhaps sticky?] where people can post their favorite links to blogs, websites...

Re: Breathing
When I first discovered LibriVox, I test recorded myself reading in order to see if there was anything I should work on improving before I volunteered. The main thing I noticed that I never realized I was doing, was that I always sounded like I was running out of breath-- I mean, it sounded like I t...

Oh, by the way...
Not sure on how to pronounce "Ashenputtel," I asked my grandpa who spoke Pennsylvania Dutch fluently as a kid. He said he thought it was "Ashenpootle." I hope this is correct, because that's how I recorded it.

This book reminds me of an early version of Ripley's Believe It or Not!
