Re: Open - Mary Tudor by Victor Hugo - arb

Clarification: Reading the text, I presume DISTANT CRIES and THE PEOPLE are the same, and that THE THIRD DAY is what you mean by Act III? If so, I'll take on recording one of THE PEOPLE/VOICES

Re: [OPEN] [DRAMA] Persuasion by Jane Austen - tg

There are no more female characters left. Don't you want men to read the men's parts?

Re: [OPEN] [DRAMA] Persuasion by Jane Austen - tg

I'm looking for something good to read and found a few pieces not yet assigned in this project, but I can't figure out how these assignments go. Are they chapters, or voices? If voices, how do we record and submit them? Please explain. Thanks

Praise for rachelellen

I just completed Silas Marner read by rachelellen. I was made to read this book in high school some 50 years ago, and was curious on the reason, and still am not sure what my teachers' motives might have been. But it certainly captures a long gone pastoral life style that I still think on fondly and...

Re: Where is "thank you messages" link?

And as for having a whole forum for thankyous ... that seems overdoing it a bit :D Our focus here in the forum is on making the books. This morning I finished The Way Of All Flesh , and set about considering what I'd like to listen to next. Being neither scholar nor student doing research, having b...

Praise for Rhonda Federman

I have just completed listening to The Way Of All Flesh , a long, tedious, sometime pedantic book that I was unable to finish when trying to read it 40 and 25 years ago. I sincerely wanted to finish it but could not stay awake thru the long sermon-like observations of the author, Samuel Butler, who ...

Re: Where is "thank you messages" link?

Our focus here in the forum is on making the books. Thank you for that clarification, and I'm coming to understand that the forums are the engine rooms of the ship. But this isn't immediately apparent to the bewildered visitor clicking link after link after link. The homepage starts out visually di...

Re: [History] The Underground Railroad Part 3 by Wm Still -

Section 31 uploaded again with County in place of Connecticut and pops hopefully removed. I couldn't hear them on my computer speakers but could through the earphones. http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/mas/undergroundrailroad3_31_still.mp3 Once this is finished I'd be happy to sign up for ano...

Re: Where is "thank you messages" link?

Actually, I was inquiring where on the website I could find a direct link to the Thank You" forum. The Thank A Reader" link on the Home Page just links to a wiki, but doesn't overtly lead one to the forum with all the thank you messages. I'm wondering why the link on the Wiki is, instead, ...

Where is "thank you messages" link?

Where is the 'Thank You' messages for LibriVox readers" forum linked from? I don't see it on the Board Index, though I did get a link to in in my email?

Thanks,

How do I establish a signature. I read the FAQ's which pointed me to the User Control Panel, but I can't find anything there that does it. Thanks,

Here is Section 31, for your review. Please let me know whatever improvements you need. I have still barely begun to grasp the in's and out's of Audacity. The tutorials are a big help but there is so much to learn. http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/mas/undergroundrailroad3_31_still.mp3 Michel...
