Re: Weekly/Fortnightly Poetry Suggestions

Thanks, kalamareader. This was really helpful! :D This poem might be better for the fortnightly poetry recordings, given its length. Also, where do you find the weekly/fortnightly poem collections for general listening on the librivox website?

...when you only have to type 'f' for the site to come up . That happens to me all the time; and with ‘l’ (for librivox)as well. And here are two other addiction symptoms: ...when you simultaneously listen to someone else’s recordings and forum browse at the same time... ...and when you practi...

Yes, the idea of a compilation sounds grand! And don’t worry annise, I won’t go off the high dive yet! :D Does anybody have any fairy book stories they’d like to hear dramatically?

Re: Dramatic Reading (DR) Suggestions

I was thinking of the Pink Fairy Book to start with. I was wondering: if the stories in it are the same across editions, does it matter which (edition) you use?

Re: Hi fellow Librivoxers!

Yes, exactly. They’re already going to inherit the money you made, so it’s rather unfair for Librivox recorders. :( Especially if they renew the copyright after their author parent has died. And if the book was very famous, it doesn’t need a copyright anymore after the author passes on.

Fairy books

Would anyone be interested in coordinating a dramatic reading of an Andrew Lang fairy book? I am far too inexperienced.

Re: Hi fellow Librivoxers!

I’m also an author-in-training, and find it very disappointing that I have to be dead before my books get onto Librivox (if they ever get published.) Does anyone else have that frustration?

Re: What made you choose your nickname?

Well, I read lots of books(hence the ‘bookworm’) in a wide field of subjects(all kinds, so 360 degrees of literary interest). A bit of a stretch, but oh well. At first I thought it was too generic, but my opinion differs now.
