Re: [SOLO] The Golden Windmill and other stories by Stacy Aumonier (1877–1928)

Some of these stories may be too long for a single section, but I can add sections as I go on, if need be.

Jo, that's useful. Are you able to remove the two confusing and unused links in that toolbox - Community portal and Current events ?

Re: Looking for editing help with our WIKI

@Michael Maggs said A search facility is already built into the wiki, allowing text within pages to be be searched for via the search box in the left column. It's a feature of all wikis, and is part of the MediaWiki software. To create an effective video search you'd need a good video index wiki pa...

Re: Looking for editing help with our WIKI

Hi, Phil-san, My solution is very easy. You could add a summary text (visible or invisible) to a video. If then, a search engine could search in the texts instead of in the speech flows. (A summary writer can add your icons to the videos easily. A precision summary text occurs a precision search.) ...

Re: [SOLO] The Farmer's Bride by Charlotte Mew - kit

Summary: A powerful collection of short poems published in 1921 by the English poet Charlotte Mew (1869–1928). Lauded during her lifetime by luminaries such as Thomas Hardy, Siegfried Sassoon and Virginia Woolf, her extreme antipathy towards self-promotion and her deep desire for privacy resulted in...

Re: Looking for editing help with our WIKI

The built-in search works best when searching for titles of wiki pages (that's what people are generally doing when they search for a Wikipedia article) rather than text within a page. If you can come up with some high-level terms covering people's search needs, it's easy enough to set up pages that...

Re: Looking for editing help with our WIKI

Hi Phil Adding an entirely new and separate search box purely for video content goes far beyond editing a wiki page, and would I think mean adding a feature which is not supported by the underlying MediaWiki platform. A search facility is already built into the wiki, allowing text within pages to be...

Re: [SOLO] The Farmer's Bride by Charlotte Mew - kit

Two small notes for Section 1 , concerning intro and outro, not serious either but maybe you want to be consistent throughout, so I opted to mention it at least: > at 0:02 : " a collection of poems " – you don't say this in the other intros, in case you want to cut it here too > at 2:50 :...

Re: [SOLO] The Farmer's Bride by Charlotte Mew - kit

Hi Sonia I've uploaded the first few ready for PL. As I went though checking them I noticed I've not been entirely word perfect in a few places, but I'm happy with that (and I'm not looking for word perfect PL) - unless of course I've missed any that alter the sense of the text! Charlotte Mew is a r...

Michele

I've added the new narrator corrections to the same file

https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/familyman_narrator_0missinglines.mp3

That now includes all the corrections for acts 1 to 3.
