Re: [Horror] The Great God Pan by Arthur Machen - sp

MW is giving me a 404 error--is this a problem on my end? It's not you. See here: https://newforum.librivox.org/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=33734 In short, LV was hacked a while back. Everything's safe, but the catalog and MW are down while our valiant and talented team of White Hats migrate the serve...

Re: [SHORT FICTION] Short Story Collection Vol. 049 - hok

Hi, LukasCalida. Welcome! People use various sources. Our only requirements are that what you record is in the public domain the US, and (for this collection) is an English-language short story, i.e. a fiction piece 60-minutes or less. The best (easiest and safest) source for public domain material ...

Re: What we say about what we do

My totally personal (i.e. non-Admin, definitely non-elder) position is that the language on the homepage, and other public-facing venues, probably should always have the words "free audiobook" prominent in it. If nothing else, it does more accurately reflect what most people will be lookin...

Re: [SHORT FICTION] Short Story Collection Vol. 049 - hok

I just proof-listened to the first story ("A Singer's Romance" by Willa Cather), and it was perfect. As a side note, the reader was very good, especially for this story. I'm new to LibriVox, so I'm not sure what the formal procedure is to officially sign up to proof-listen to a track, and...

Re: How Modern is 'Modern'?

I appears to be this one: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/2043 It's indexed as The Lock and Key Library by Ambrose Bierce et al. at Gutenberg, but it was probably indexed as Stories by Modern American Authors originally; before they made it part of their Lock and Key Library series. I love Gutenberg...
