Re: [MEMOIR] Dr. Benjamin Rush by Dr. Benjamin Rush -jo

I strongly suggest that you shorten the intros to either "Incidents in the Life of Dr. Benjamin Rush" , "Dr. Benjamin Rush, A Memorial" or simply "Dr. Benjamin Rush"

Similarly the filenames could just be

benjaminrush_##_rush_128kb.mp3

Re: ~[solo horror] A Mystery of the Campagna - Crawford

I'm not sure if this link was what was making the generator panic, but this is the closest thing to a wiki page I could find for the author, who is new to the catalogue: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Catselbow/Annie_Crawford If you need a more reliable source, the Library of Congress also give...

Re: [SOLO] Lavengro: The Scholar, The Gypsy, The Priest, by George Borrow

Thanks for that. I’d like, if possible, to avoid a situation where my recording ends up being called “(version 2)” when/if, in fact, it’s the only available version for listeners. I’d best leave the handling of the seemingly abandoned version up to you, though. And you’re right: I am not wanting to...

Re: [SOLO] Lavengro: The Scholar, The Gypsy, The Priest, by George Borrow

Hi Peter. It is showing in the catalog as On Hold because that is the status in the database. It was started in March 2013, and there are 24 sections recorded by RuthieG. Last post was 2016. We don't normally delete these from the database. It should probably be posted in the Abandoned Projects thre...

If you download by right clicking on the play arrow in the sections column, you will get the 64kb file. If instead you download by right clicking on the title of the section in the chapter column, you will get the 128kb file. To download from the archive page, click show all, then find the one you w...

Re: SOLO Selected Works by John Graham Brooks

The server error is because he is a new author and needs to be added to the author database. I've added him so you shouldn't get the server error now.

Re: How Often are Librivox Books Listened To?

Like the advance search option in the catalog, the API was never fully finished when the Mellon Project wrapped up. The shortcomings of the API has its very own, very long forum thread here:
