Horatius Bonar was a Scottish clergyman who mainly wrote hymns. He was born in 1808 and died in 1889.

There is one book which I have read and re-read and have passionately wanted to record is By Grand Central Station I sat Down and Wept by Elizabeth Smart.

On a completely different level, my favourite children's book - I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith.
