Re: ~The Wealth of Nations, Bk 5, by Adam Smith - kd
Grrr! I recorded section 13 a couple of nights ago and went to do the proofing this evening. That's when I noticed that there was a very noticeable and constant buzzing all through the recording due to my not unplugging my laptop. (I have to have it unplugged or else, well, or else there is a consta...

Re: Samson vs. Yeti
Well, I had almost decided on purchasing the Yeti when I came across the Audio Technica AT2020 . These two mics have been flip flopping in the #1 and #2 spots on Amazon for condenser microphones. Both are similarly priced. The main differences I can see are: -The Yeti has a headphone jack while the ...

Re: Contest help!
Are you asking about the Blogging for Books program in general? I believe it can be any book published by WaterBrook Multnomah published at any time. They have a list of books from which you can choose one to have them send to you for review. I'm not sure, but I think for this particular contest you...

Contest help!
[Moderators, if this is inappropriate for this forum, feel free to delete with my apologies.] In addition to recording for Librivox, one of my other hobbies is reviewing books. I reviewed a book titled The Charlatan's Boy as part of WaterBrook Multnomah's Blogging for Books program. (This is a great...

Re: my pauses are tooooo long ?
I definitely find myself spending way too much time editing silence. Generally, I put about .75 seconds between sentences and double that between paragraphs. But while I'm listening, I try to determine if a longer or shorter pause is needed between sentences/paragraphs. Makes my editing time much lo...

Thanks for the responses. I'm leaning more toward the Yeti than the Samson but still have a little while before purchasing. Thanks again!
