Re: FLASHMOB Julius Caesar by Shakespeare-mas
Hi MaryAn, I'll be doing the cast list. I assumed I waited until the play was full before getting it done but can do it sooner if it's needed :) ETA: Also, Adele and Ester are unable to PL at the moment, so I'm taking over the PL of roles before editing as well as the final PL. The MW isn't giving m...
Re: Duolingo
Spanish is all very well, but seriously, how many people in the world speak it today compared to the Cornish language? Regards, Mab an Dhivresow (ie, Son of the Exiles) Looks very close to Welsh, SotE! Mab y Alltudion is your username in Welsh ;) We also use I actually did a course through sc...
Re: Duolingo
After you've done some of the easier modules, you can choose some more specialist vocabulary. I completed the Italian one about a year ago, and after the first few I chose a module on the Language of Love, which was rather interesting. I had it on my tablet and phone, so using the microphone to spea...

Re: [PLAY] The Story of the Armada by Amice MacDonell
I see the word Welsh and I'm immediately attracted ;) Once this is up and running, may I steal both of Ap Thomas' lines. I'm not sure if it's dialect or a misprint, but I'm pretty certain the first line should be "From Wales." not "From Fales". But equally, I don't know. I may ve...

2, 3 and 21 are PL OK!
I do really like these stories. They're like the Chinese Whispers version of Welsh history and folklore. It's brilliant! I have a funny feeling that whenever the author didn't know something about the Welsh, he just made it up and hoped no one would notice

Chapters 7, 8 and 9 are PL OK! Sorry, I'm a little behind. Will catch up this week, hopefully! :) Chapters 10 and 11 are PL OK :) I've updated the MW for my past PLs :) The word "Co-ed" looks a little out of place; I assume it's an Anglicization of a place name? I assume Gwri = "gree...

It's lovely to see this up and running Are you not taking anything, Twinkle?
Could I claim Voice 1 please? I'll "flavour" each different voice depending on the chapter/what I am (in chapter 1 for example, when the voices are both violets and dolls! )

Re: Librivox Shakespeare Podcast
Cori didn't know she was supposed to publish it. She lent her uploader folder, but no one asked her to MC. She sent out a call for help, and I answered the call. :) I think I've done everything correctly. It's on the home page now. Here's a link to the blog post: https://librivox.org/2016/04/24/lib...

Re: Librivox Shakespeare Podcast
I love The Winter's Tale, an underrated gem among Shakespeare's plays, and would be delighted if you gave it a nod by including some excerpt from it. The comic scenes with the rustics are great fun. Also, I think one of the greatest moments in any of the plays is the one in King Lear when he wakes ...

OK. If I could suggest a recent title of which I was the BC (no time for modesty!) -- Favourite Scenes From Shakespeare https://librivox.org/favourite-scenes-from-shakespeare-by-william-shakespeare/ You could highlight any of the scenes -- but I might suggest Cleopatra's death scene or Desdemona's ...

Here's Esther's and my contribution: https://librivox.org/uploads/cori/shakespeare_estheradele.mp3 It's longer than the 1-2 minute mark, but since it's got stuff from both of us it should be ok, right? ;) Anyway, feel free to keep what you want and get rid of what you don't. We put a couple short c...
