Re: [Fantasy] Shadows in Zamboula - Robert Howard - philc
Howard was so talented in his ability to paint entire living landscapes using less words than it takes countless other authors to describe a single still. It really is amazing.

A few of the messages I took away from part one: That "you may sleep soundly tonight..." is unnecessary to be told if it be true. Always sleep with your broad sword at the ready. Pay no mind to those who have not the capacity to understand you as human. Walls built to keep others from comi...

Re: Films better than books
i havent read "the shining" by steven king but the movie seems to be pretty good The film is far better. Stanley Kubrick at his ever-finest. Which leads me to "A Clockwork Orange"; his film was by far better than the book. Kubrick's films are stunning no matter what. Dr. Strange...

I love Black Mirror's version of reality television. That and the fact that the singer who was forced into a self loathing contract was actually singing. Lovely voice. But you can't forget the ending when her forgotten friend makes his own way onto the show in an attempt to prove just how harmful re...

That was INTENSE. My heart is literally racing and my eyes are so wide open if anyone saw me right now they'd think I'd just been witness to all of it in real life.

Re: [HORROR]The Dark Other, Stanley Weinbaum-icequeen
I'll have chapters 7-10 PL'd by midnight.
Edit: Did I say by midnight? What was I thinking? I meant I'm going to start listening at midnight. I can't believe I nearly ended up on the other side of the veil with nothing to listen to.

Re: [HORROR]The Dark Other, Stanley Weinbaum-icequeen
I see no reason not to welcome you in/onto this production of what is indeed an awesome book. Weinbaum's shorter works of Sci-Fi are utterly hysterical; whereas, in this work he reveals an insight and understanding of a genre too often lacking in the depth that Weinbaum brings to it. It may be a dep...
