Re: OPEN: Merry Wives of Windsor by William Shakespeare - al

I'd like to have a go at Robin (if he's meant to be a young man/boy).

I've posted a 1 min test in my intro post, but no comments on it yet.

Re: Hello from Australia!

There aren't any Australian books open at the moment , but there have been and there will be more, it's just a case of finding something PD for Librivox (pre 1923 mainly) and PD for me here (author died before 1955) - all suggestions welcomed It isn't Australian but I can't believe no one has done ...

Re: Pride and Prejudice (dramatic reading) by Jane Austen -

Oh - I must not have refreshed the page before I posted. When I looked last night Young Mr Lucas was still available. :(

Call me a traditionalist, but I think the Butler should be a man, as should Mr Hurst, obviously.

Sigh. I will have to keep an eye out for any other Jane Austen dramatic readings!

Re: Hello from Australia!

Thanks - I was looking at the current dramatic reading of "Anne of Avonlea" which is one of my favourite books (the whole series). I was assuming that they would want all American/Canadian voices for it - or do you think maybe not? There are quite a few parts still to be filled. I can alwa...

Re: Pride and Prejudice (dramatic reading) by Jane Austen -

Hello, I'm new here but I *desperately* want to be involved in this project - I'm a *huge* Jane Austen fan, and already have all her books as Audiobooks! But to participate in one... dream come true! Can I please be Young Mr Lucas? (I'm female but I think I can manage this. All the remaining parts t...

Re: 'Thank You' messages for LibriVox readers - continued

I'm new here so I haven't yet worked out how to send messages to individuals - but I wanted to thank Sarah LuAnn (RosaleeLuAnn) and Mark Nelson (sjmarky) for their amazing readings which have inspired me to try this myself!

Hello from Australia! [test file added]

Hi everyone! I'm so glad I found you! Updated to add test file for feedback please - not sure I have the volume settings correct. It sounds really loud when I play it back, but the waveform is still really small on the screen? http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/tests/test_elizabby.mp3 2nd test...
