Re: [SOLO/RELIGION] The Epistle of St Paul to the Romans by Handley Carr Glyn Moule-mas

26 and 27 are PL OK. Could you check the links for 28 and 29? I am not getting anything to download from them. Just make sure they actually got uploaded. Will do! Has happened more than once - I think it's from uploading on one tab and editing the MW on another tab and then potentially closing befo...

Re: [DUET/COLLECTION] The Shorter Works of Tertullian Volume 1-mas

Repentance is ready for PL. You'll notice a change in tune from this work to his work on "On Modesty." I'm not quite sure what got into him. He went from believing that it's irrational to think that you should ever sin again after becoming a Christian *but* if you do sin again there perha...

Re: Are these old books recordable?

Let's discuss it on an individual basis if there is something you particularly need to read and it is not available on a more accessible basis. " During the beta period you can search and view all of the books for free." is not a particularly encouraging remark. Anne I know what mean. I w...

Are these old books recordable?

Just wondering whether these are fair game: https://books.logos.com/

Looks like they won't be available permanently but they are full scans with copyright pages - does that suffice?

Re: Skipping a chapter of diagrams

Let me re-use this thread for another question about the same book: https://archive.org/details/twoliturgiesad1500churuoft/page/356/mode/2up What would be the best option for the author? The name most closely associated with this Primer is King Edward VI, though he only commisioned it and wrote the ...

Sections won't come as fast this time because they aren't pre-recorded. The recording quality improves from section 2 onwards.

Just wanna check whether you'd be happy with the copyright status of this: http://www.tertullian.org/fathers/eusebius_onomasticon_02_trans.htm (see particularly the footer). See also the "Digitizer's Note" (http://www.tertullian.org/fathers/eusebius_onomasticon_01_intro.htm) making explici...

Thanks InTheDesert! Here's the link to where I uploaded my sample in the Listeners and Editors Wanted forum: https://forum.librivox.org/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=84500 Please let me know how it sounds! Like I stated in the post I linked to, I think it sounds a bit muffled, but that might just be me....

Re: ~[SOLO/RELIGION] The Night of Weeping by Horatius Bonar

With B.B. Warfield well on the way to the catalogue, I'm going to tackle something with shorter chapters.

Why would you want to DPL this?
  • It expresses a nuanced view of suffering.
  • It is addressed to the sufferer.
  • THere are many hymns but not many books of his in the catalogue.
