Don't laugh at the tune I picked.. I didn't plan it! I swear! It just popped into my head and seemed to fit. I didn't even figure out what the tune was until I finished recording it

Well, it's been a while...and I've done some digging. I'm planning to record a Southern gospel album in the spring with some guys whom I've played. Along the way, I found The Carter Family's "Wildwood Flower." I want to do "I'll Twine 'Mid the Ringlets" the PD version of the song...

Aha! Henry Martin it will be! If you could find an author or pub date, or some collection that says 'Traditional', or web source or something, that would be helpful... I'll be wanting that for cataloging info later. Thank you! -Catharine Hope that helps: http://www.contemplator.com/child/hmartin.html

Thanks for the feedback earlier! I transposed the music so I could sing it more comfortably. Recording went fairly smoothly, although it required several takes and plenty of cross-blending between them to get the best overall result. I had a lot of fun learning GarageBand while putting this togethe...

Would there be any problem with transposing a song to a different key? I entered the "Moustache" song into GarageBand as written, but the highest note is just on the edge of my range, and I can't really sing it clearly. Shifting it down a step helps just enough, but I'm wondering if doing...
