Re: (MULTI)Christmas Short Works Collection-ans
Did you mean to post this in the bible passages collection at https://forum.librivox.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=62572 ? If so I can get it over there for you ? Anne No, I meant it for the Christmas collection, since it said Bible passages were welcome, and it is a passage often used in the advent...

Re: Missing a Post-Production Step??
At a glance, which is all I have time for at the moment, I notice that in your raw recording, your volume is super low. How far from your mic are you? What are your volume settings? Have you tried increasing the recording volume, rather than amplifying after the fact? That's as high as it will go, ...

Re: Missing a Post-Production Step??
I suggest uploading a small (one-minute or less) portion UN-processed, then uploading the same portion with the processing done. Let's take a listen and see how much of what you're doing is unnecessary. Thanks! Here is the sample raw: https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/John_1.1-5_raw_.mp3 Here is t...

Re: What is a good mic that won't die or cost a million doll
I use a Blue Snowball in a portabooth. Treating your space is equally important to mic quality. You can have an amazing mic, but if you don't do anything to treat your space, it will still sound like crap

Missing a Post-Production Step??
Hi! My post-production is taking obscenely long! I've been using this guide to post-production: http://www.alexpberg.com/the-complete-guide-to-home-audiobook-narration-and-production/ When I do noise reduction, the line looks flat, but when I do compression and normalization, I get tons of fuzzy waf...
