I've caught the dread lergy too, so this is a tad more nasal than is normal. Still ... I didn't mess up the editing this time, unlike with the fourth version of my Austen-chapter (I am growing to loathe that book  )

At a guess, Gord, she didn't renew the copyright on it - see this cheery flowchart for the legalities. Seems a bit odd, but no complaints from me :D

Good luck with it, chere!

Nice to see you here, Scott! Recording is recording ... and it's great to have someone dedicated to the oft-forgotten pomes.

Ooh, and also, are you any good at summaries..? That seems to be a possible new way of helping out here, mentioned over in this thread.

Whatever you do, though - enjoy!

Heya Stacy! Well ... the first post has a link to the etext source we're using, and all the stories contained therein. Pick one you like (or more than one, of course) ... if it doesn't have a username* next to it, it's available. Post here which you've chosen. Eyeball the About Recording page, and t...

I think, if you check the first post , it lists all the stories available, and then there's a name following if someone's claimed it. Not sure how up to date the list is, so it might be worth picking a couple of titles, mebbe, and then reading through this thread to check they've not been nobbled al...

I guess you'd want to be working up to this one ..? Could you do both languages of Y Gododin -- A Poem of the Battle of Cattraeth ..? [Skipping the footnotes, methinks!] We're Life+70, copyright-wise, so that's any books by people who died before 1935 by my reckoning; Gutenberg's quite good ab...

Oh, no, Kara ... hope you're awash in hot lemon and honey and that it's better in no time!

I have a question - the young men in my chapter cuss like sailors! But of course it's all bleeped out, eg. Oh, d -- it! How do I say that..?

Heya Sean! I'm new here too, but it's all fun so far! I "got my feet wet" by doing a reading for the Weekly Poetry thingy ... would be cool to hear you doing that! What sort of thing do you like reading..? Would you consider doing something that your accent would complement, or are you loo...

Cool, cool, cool, thanks Hugh! I was trying to work out, you see, how my dear Candy Rabbit fitted in between the two projects ... whether I hand the files over to the DP book's processor to upload when she sends off the text and HTML, or whether I save them here, with your introductory note at the s...
