Re: FULL [DR] Little Men by Louisa May Alcott - rap
I never found a post as to Teddy 17's missing line being PL OK- probably my mistake- but I PLed it and yes, it is OK. I'm cleaning up the Magic Window right now which is why I'm making sure.

Re: Hello from Brazil!!
Welcome, Fernanda! You'll want to start off with your 1-Minute Test, information can be found in the Wiki. Once that's approved, you can get right to recording. There are also projects in Portuguese (in the Languages other than English forum) if you're interested! If you have any questions, please f...

Re: Your book story
I thought King Solomon's decision was "cut it in half." What did he know?! For that matter, what do I know? Solomon wasn’t really being serious when he said to cut... it... in half. It was a clever trick to resolve the dispute. Devorah, you have a dilemma. Personally I’d buy the ann...

Yeah, I'm definitely opting out on that...? I don't see the point of it, personally, and I want as little people as possible gathering my information

Re: Hello, newbie here!
Hi and welcome to LibriVox! I know it can definitely be complicated trying to figure everything out at first. A good place to start is by looking around the Wiki to get your bearings. You'll need to have a functional software platform for recording- a lot of LibriVoxians use Audacity; it's a free re...

Re: Hi from California :)
Hi Ashley! I'm also a writer (not published... yet... ) from California. Welcome to LibriVox! I hope you'll like it here. To get started, you'll need to post your 1-Minute Test- information can be found in our Wiki. After that's approved, you can get started recording on a project. If you have...

Re: News about Audacity
My concern is not with a price, if it's reasonable, but I think of newcomers who might be turned off by having to pay for a program like Audacity.... No I totally agree. I think it would be very off-putting, especially considering that Audacity is tricky to manage at first. But I'm pretty sure I my...

Re: News about Audacity
I use Musescore, and there's both a paid and a free version available. Maybe Audacity will eventually become something like this? In Musescore there's plenty of features available to use for free, so hopefully the new ownership shouldn't change much if anything for us and our use of Audacity.

Re: What’s the Big Deal?
It's funny what JayKitty says about the Harry Potter books. A critic might say the same about Tolkien's work (or the Narnia books?) but both Tolkien and Lewis were devout Christians is my understanding. Most certainly Lewis was. Yeah, my view about this is that the Tolkien and Lewis books are diffe...

[snip] It kept coming out as if the thieves got away with Louis XIV's beer fridge, magnets and all. Barbara You were laughing, but my reaction to my frequent mess ups are a string of swearwords.
