I started working on PL for section 14. Here's as far as I got: ID Tags: Has chapter title in all caps - should be title case (Can the MC fix this?) Needs noise removal and maybe some amplification - might be too quiet. Can someone else put their ear to this section? I imported it into Audacity and ...

Sections 176 and 179 are PL'd and OK.

(OK, they were more than OK. They were quite enjoyable.)

I've gotten the French read; waiting on the Greek. Once that's added, it'll be done.

Thanks! I haven't listened to it yet, but I'll include it.

Do you want me to mention you at the end of the reading, as part of the "recorded by whatshername"? I'm certainly willing to do so. And if so, how do you want to be credited?

JC - thanks a million! I was able to filter out the noise using Audacity, and it sounds really good. 8-)

Any takers on the Greek?

Needed: Greek Reader

I have a section that includes some longer text in Greek and French. HERE is the book - "The Social History of Smoking" chapter 11. If any Greek or French readers would be willing to just read the following passages, then email me the clip so I can insert it into my reading, that'd be SUPE...

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I will be quite busy for the next few weeks. I have some big tests (I am in the last year in school). So please forgive me for the delay in listening. Submit as many chapters as you like, I will be listening soon (maybe next weekend). Stav. That's fine! Thanks...

Thanks, Joe! Feel free to proof them by the text (thought-for-thought - a word might be wrong, but if it doesn't change the meaning of the passage, then let it go; if it DOES change the meaning or confuse the listener, let me know) if you would like. If you don't, then don't.

I started to record chapter 11, but it's got a good amount of both Greek and French in it. I am pretty wretched with both those languages.

Either someone else is welcome to claim it, or I'll need LOTS of help to make it sound halfway correct.

Yeah, I just realized that "the said day" would mean that and not what I said in my other post. As for the pounds/shillings/pence reading, I'll do it Ruthie's way. I've already recorded it and don't feel like changing it (ha ha), and I doubt children will listen to the 4th chapter o...
