This author's middle name does seem to generate some confusion as to spelling. Her other titles catalogued in Librivox use the spelling Katharine, which seems to be the most widely accepted. Questions: 1. The story breaks quite neatly into either three ~30 minute sections, (Parts 1 2 / 3 4 5 / 6 7) or two ~45 minute sections (Parts 1 2 3 / 4 5 6 7). From your experience and expertise which do you suggest? 2. As during the course of the story I say "Part x" seven times would it...

Sounds good to me! I'll record the intros and outros and edit them in. The story is broken into numbered parts anyway so it's easy to find a natural break.

Finally finished. It's ended up longer (perhaps I read more slowly, or paused more often).

Ok, I will work on the edit this weekend. I've also found another that should run about 40 minutes so I know it will come in under time.

I have finished an initial, unedited recording of my chosen story and it runs an hour and 24 minutes. Considering your request to try and stick to works under an hour, I am wondering if this is unacceptably long?
