Great, I'm glad we are fully staffed! I've deleted the ~ from the topic title, and deleted the advert for a DPL. It's fine to rename the files, but just as an FYI for the future, the MC can easily rename all files during cataloging. In fact, it's one of my standard steps, to make sure no typos slip ...

Check View / Show clipping in Audacity.

You can toggle the red lines to show clipping on and off ... I generally leave them on all the time so I know when I'm too close to the mic or need to adjust the input gain for some other reason.

Yuqing, Thank you for helping out with this! Couple of questions for you ... what is the rough english equivalent of the intros? A variation may be ok, if it contains all the required elements. And as you suggested, it should be done consistently. As to re-recording, is that only because of the sile...

When doing a solo work is it a good idea to keep the volume super consistent, or is a small amount of variation ok? I'm not sure what others think, but I naturally get some variation in my recordings, because some parts need more emotion than others. Big swings are probably surprising to the listen...

You are so close on such a major project! I have no doubt that you will finish when your schedule allows!

Hmm, I've never had trouble with Audacity opening an .aup3 file. It creates those files, so unless it is corrupted, I'm not sure why it couldn't open one of its own files.
