Re: Constructive suggestion?
A lot of these may be regionalisms as well, and not exactly mispronunciations. I was listening to an audio file recently where the reader had a lovely Southern accent and pronounced the word "asked" as "axed." That's not how I say that word, but it's how she says it, so who am I ...

Re: What is a good mic that won't die or cost a million doll
I don't care if there's a little hiss in my recordings. If someone wants to buy $$$ equipment and re-record all the works I've done solo (or all my recordings in group projects), they're welcome to do so. I'm not going for professional quality, and LV's ethic is the same. Our mission is to make all...

Nope, I definitely did not realize that. I had ten in my mind for some reason. Two more chapters are on their way!

Re: [ART]The Mary Frances Knitting and Crocheting Book-icequ
Hi Molly, sorry for the lack of response, I was out of town for Thanksgiving. I think in the situation you encountered, the choice is either to read the diagram or leave it out entirely - the original change you made to the text is probably too much of a liberty with the author's words. (I know it's...

Re: FULL [DR] Rainbow Valley by L. M. Montgomery-mas
Here's Miss Ellen West! There's a little typo in the MW - it lists chapter 23 as one of hers, but it should be chapter 32. https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/rainbowvalley_13_missellenwest.mp3 https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/rainbowvalley_21_missellenwest.mp3 https://librivox.or...

Re: Frederick Banting's Birthday
There was a Google Doodle yesterday to commemorate his birthday, which is also World Diabetes Day. I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age 9 and my two brothers are Type 1 as well. Our family has a lot to thank Dr. Banting for!

Re: Dramatic Reading (DR) Suggestions
I know there's a lot of Louisa May Alcott going on right now, but I have the marked-up text for An Old-Fashioned Girl all completed if anyone wants to take that up in the future. It's probably not something I will have the bandwidth to BC any time soon.

Re: [ART]The Mary Frances Knitting and Crocheting Book-icequ
Too funny! It's like what I would feel like if I had to read some kind of scientific manual. To be fair, knitting patterns sometimes seem like gibberish even if you have a lot of experience with them.
All your sections are in the MW! Thank you!
