Re: Help! I can't find my book anywhere [FOUND]

I will record off the PD text that you found then. Not a problem, I only have to re-record about 6 minutes.

Re: Help! I can't find my book anywhere

Well, I just use the link to the book for the new project post. I own all his books on my Kindle, so I just read off that.

Re: Help! I can't find my book anywhere

Thank you, I would be glad to use the archive.org copy. As long as it's legal (which I know it is) I will use it.

Re: Help! I can't find my book anywhere

This would be my first recording, and I would love to just do a short story, instead of one of his longer novels.

Re: Help! I can't find my book anywhere

I found a collection of short stories (https://books.google.com/books?id=DvSl5Qdi23EC) would I just post that link?

I want to read "The Sharpshooter" by Joseph Altscheler, but I can't find the link to the text on Gutenberg or archive.org. What do I do?

If it would be alright, I would love to claim Chapter 12, R.S.V.P. Thank you.

Re: Librivox App

If you download the mp3 format onto your phone, it doesn't use any data. Only if you don't download it will it use data.

Re: Howdy from southern Ohio

I am planning on finishing the book I'm currently reading, which will complete a series of books, then I will really start on recording. I should be done within this week.

Re: Howdy from southern Ohio

I will look at those forums forthwith, thank you. Would a built-in mic in a computer be all right? I honestly don't feel like buying a mic....

Re: Howdy from southern Ohio

What microphone would you recommend? I'm not looking to spend any more than maybe $15 on a mic.

Re: Howdy from southern Ohio

Thank you for the advice @moniqua, I'm looking forward to being a part of this community.

Have you ever read/heard of Joseph Altscheler? I'm planning on reading his books for Librivox.

Re: Howdy from southern Ohio

Thank you!

Would you recommend that I do different voices for different characters?

Howdy from southern Ohio

I'm here to read tons of books for Librivox, and maybe get a paying job for, say, Audible reading aloud books. I may only be 16, but I think that makes it so I can do this for longer than most.

:D :D
