Re: Pirates of Penzance by Gilbert and Sullivan - ce
Well, all those chorus uploads this weekend and still section 18 does not show as complete. Drat. Ah-ha! There is that pesky opening number that doesn't have a reference mp3 track. Do you know how long it took me to figure out that I did not have to figure out how to download a midi and convert it i...

Re: Importing text into Audacity?
Well, with the Beta version of Audacity, the Sync Lock clock face is in the Audacity Edit Tool Bar. :D you may have to allow it to be shown (View,Toolbars). but it is available from the Track menu. cool. I bet you already have a video of this made up and it is one of the few I have not watched yet!...

Re: Importing text into Audacity?
then synchronized the tracks (the little clock face icon in Audacity) so the labels stayed linked with the music as I played with some track editing. Oooo! I could use this when I'm editing together a dramatic work and am missing just one part or line! The label always moves on me. :( Thing is, I d...

Re: ~[SOLO]Historical Tales,Vol VI: French by Charles Morris
Don't re-record yet - I want to try 10-11-12 in my car. My experiment of satisfactory listening over my computer speakers while having my (dead) earphones on makes me suspect that when I am able to play with treble and bass on my car radio - I can't on my computer - I may get satisfactorily non-ann...

Re: Importing text into Audacity?
Well, I did some experimenting and YES it works! A. I took the words to a song I'm supposed to sing in Headlong Hall and in front of each line put a sequential number and a tab - that made each line into a label. Stored the result in a txt file. B. I then went to the Audacity file where I had record...

Importing text into Audacity?
Greetings. Is it possible to import text into Audacity to read it aloud from there - or to to use it to sticky-label an imported voice track to assist in later editting? Lyrics with the reference track I'm supposed to be singing to (ie, in Pirates)? I see Audacity claims you can import a time-stampe...

Sure, Kristin, thanks! Although actually I was hoping for Mr. Braithewaite to be read by a male reader. Would it be all right if I didn't put you down for that role just yet? Sure, that's fine with me:) And, if it's all right, I would like to claim the role of The Girl in The Sun instead:) If Mr Br...

Great! Now no further reason for procrastination in doing my readings for Ten Years After, unless of course it is to take time listen to all the chapters I didn't read in this one! (Query: how many people do listen to books they are part of? Having read the last chapter I know how it ends - it'll be...
