Ava, I didn't notice anything wrong with this file, no softer than others I am listening to, so apparently you fixed any problems with the editing... everything is ok now. Sounds good too... you did a fine job! Thank you! :D The problem was not the volume, the mic on my headset developed some sort ...

Also we have a "Slowing UP"? I was not sure, so I recorded additionally "Slowing down". For what it's worth -- people do say "Slow up!" where I live. I have no idea if it would fit with this text, though. I presume it is a regional American colloquialism. Also, I think...

My first recording (after the test) can be found in the Short Poems Collection 082 :D I had time to look at the text, and although the narrator as such is clear... what do I do in instances like those: JULIE [Hesitating]. But—it might happen again. or KRISTIN [Listening]. Who's that walking upstairs...

Hi,

could I do the narrator part please?

I have an Austrian accent, and I am on vacation right now, so I can only start recording in about three weeks. If both is fine with you, please sign me up :D

Cheers,
Ava.

Footnote: A dialect is usually spoken by people who live in a certain region of a country. Those people speak their mother tongue in their own individual way. For example, many Scottish people have a dialect. An accent usually describes the way people pronounce words of a language that is different...

Yes, some accents can be harder to understand than others, but I don't think that disallowing people to read in a foreign language will solve the problem. I have listened to a number of books with different readers, and the one accent that I found most difficult came from a British... Unfort...
