I'd prefer to hear people's natural accent reading a piece, no matter what the accent or the setting of the text. Bad "English" accents make me twitch, (probably very much like my version of an American accent would do for many.) :D But if people want to read like that, it *is* completely...

Given the great popularity of the Dr. Seuss books, I would venture to guess that copyrights were renewed, but you'd have to check each individual work. I don't care. I'm STILL gonna record How The Grinch Stole Christmas , even if I can't put it here and folks have to email me for it. So there. Nyah...

Downloading Podcasts

Hey there,

I'd like to listen to the Community Podcast, but I don't really care to use any podcast services; I either stream the podcast (if available) or download the mp3 of the pocast on to my HD for listening. Any way I can do that with the Community Podcast? Thanks.

SmokestackJones , what a pleasure to see/hear you again! A fine reading of a classic story. :) I do need to ask you to do one thing: could you please change your bit rate it from 192 kbits/sec to 128? The validator (and more importantly, archive.org) are fussy about their file specs. Thanks! -Catha...

I Have No Clue About This...

Hey there, Okay, I've been puzzling over this. I got a comment on my blog. A lot of them lately have been for my LV work, but this is downright confusing. A Lisa Gehrig wrote: Hello Smokestack. I am another of your Librivox fans. The first one of your readings I heard was "The Taming of the Bic...

Hey there,

This sounds funny, but I'd love to read some of the Batman stuff, whether the comics or novels/novelizations. I think it'd be a helluva lot of fun.
