Re: Nick 1 min test
Okay, some improvement, but your audio is now 320kbps bit rate, and the volume is still low at 82.9dB. I'm still hearing plosive sounds on the P's in Peter Piper. There is also a bit of room reverb. You can find advice on improving issues like room echo and plosives in the Librivox wiki: https://wik...

Re: tshoes76 1-minute test recording posted
Welcome Tom I reviewed your test sample, and while it sounds good there are some technical changes needed. LibriVox requires audio that is 128kbps constant bit rate MP3, 44.1kHz sample rate, mono, and between 86dB and 92dB, preferably 89-90. Your test audio is 192kbps bit rate, and the volume is too...

Well, I didn't mix them up as much as I did with Prince/Princess in War and Peace.

Re: 1-Minute Test Recording by Kevin (Nyarlathotep78)
The gain controls on many interfaces, including the ones I use, are very touchy. Once you get the volume somewhere in the ballpark - and the gain will probably be at least 3/4 to the max - you need to use a very light touch to get it right. I have an Audient ID4, and the final adjustment on the gain...

Re: 1-Minute Test Recording by Kevin (Nyarlathotep78)
Greetings Kevin Indeed, all your settings are correct except the volume, which is too low at 81.5dB. The acceptable range is 86 - 92dB, ideally 89-90. Make sure input gain slider in Audacity (upper right with the little mic icon) is well to the right. Then adjust the input gain on your mic so your r...

Welcome Abram
Your audio meets LibriVox requirements, so you are good to go. (I also use Reaper and a shotgun.)
