I have converted the short story to mono and increased the gain by plus 9dB. I do put some small amount of reverb on the recordings as they sound better. My files are recorded at 24 bit 44.1 kHz and I can reduce them to .mp3 but it will not go so low as 128kbps It will only do 256 kbps - so i don't know what to do. Please do not recommend that I use Audacity as I've tried that and it will not do .mp3 - or rather convert the files. Useless rubbish. I ...

I'm new and I have quite a bit of experience of recording, music recordings and voice. I do a lot of poetry and some prose as well.

As I use high quality .wav files I find I have a problem with .mp3 which I can't seem to get to 128. My converter is set at 256 and won't budge.
