I'm thoroughly immune, sorry. I'll need a fresh one for this collection. You can always try to do something a little different with it this time.
Hmm, must be my after-shave...

Hey Mask, To tell ya the truth, yeah. I Googled my name (hey, it gives me an ego boost when I'm low) and found this Russian SF messageboard (translted with Google) where one member did a Flash vid of The Music of Erich Zann using my audiorecording. Unfortunately, the link was dead since the guy had ...

The thing with headsets is that the mic is usually quite close to your mouth, so you might have some trouble with plosives. ("p"s) The puff of air that comes out of your mouth when you pronounce the Ps will hit the mic and create a thump. If that's your case, you could probably fix it by ...

Giveaway Of The Day: Cool Record Edit Pro - FREE!

Hey there, I check Giveaway of The Day daily and today they offer something that may be useful: Cool Edit Record Pro. While it won't make me give up my Cool Edit Pro or Audacity, it does have a good Noise Reduction filter. That's worth it right there. Anyway, if you want a Free copy, DL and install ...

ALERT! Corrected Lovecraft list

Hey there, While checking on the avilability of some of H.P. Lovecraft's stories, I came across a monumental goof of mine; the list I put under this thread is wrong. The dates for those stories are the date they were written, not published. here's the corrected list, as per this website : 1916, Nove...

Lovecraft has been awkward for us since our early days, because his publication dates lie across the 1923 barrier. You can see a list of his public domain works via a link in the first post of this thread. Hey Peter, I recently found out that the list posted in that thread is incorrect, as it lists...

Hey Peter, Just finished The Street by Lovecraft. I did it on a new set-up (plus this is my first time with Audacity) so let me know if anything's amiss. Here's the dope on the story: http://www.geocities.com/area51/shire/7473/street.html And here's the goods: http://upload.librivox.org/share/upload...

Hey Hugh,

Very good. Bravo.

After reading the original post, please allay Professor Powers fears for me. I will no longer be turning literary classics into mush.

I'm On A Podcast - Cool...

Hey there,

Felbrig, the guy for whom I did The Statement of Randolph Carter and The Beast In The Cave yanked my recording of The Terrible Old Man and added to his weekly podcast. Sweet:

Hey there,

Hmm, I see. I understand the problem, but I'd still like to re-record A Christmas Carol in the near future, as I've gotten some complaints about mic noise and volume, something I'm trying to correct with new equipment. Yes? No? Maybe?

Audacity Mixing Question

Hey there, Okay, making the move to Audacity (due to an HD mini-crash and the reinstallation of XP) and it's going along smoothly, but here's a question I tossed out at the Audacity forum, but if anyone wants to take a whack at it, feel free. How do I shrink the Audacity desktop to show more inserte...
