A beautiful poem about love and British imperialism and exploitation! Here's my version: http://s27.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0SO66AOTH94E105YT2RUGC0OSA I followed Kara's lead in adding my initials to the title. Feel free to remove them if that isn't what you want. Since no one else has suggested a poem for next week yet, I'll suggest "The Owl and the Pussycat", by Edward Lear. Gutenberg has it at

Try positioning the mic slightly above and off to one side of your mouth. That'll help reduce the popping considerably and it'll also give the recordings a much greater dynamic range. My microphone sits on the desk next to my monitor, and that seems to work pretty well. (It's a Logitech USB microph...

I just read "Howl's Moving Castle", in which this poem figures prominently. Ok, I definitely need to give this one a try. :)

Clicking on the LibriVox logo at the top of this page should take you to the main page, not to the list of discussion forums.

And I agree about ID3 tags. None of my other album names in iTunes are all lower case.

Re: Short poetry (Volume Two) - anything in the public domai

(Naming the album that way will allow each whole collection to stay together. ) Do we really want them to? At this rate, we'll have hundreds of poems in just a few months. At that point, I'd think it would be better to group them by author, not by which set of 20 each one happened to fall into. Peter

The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock, by T. S. Eliot: http://s27.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0SHJHGWDAJFRA1TVUMEISY6C4V I just recently discovered LibriVox, and this is the first recording I've done. This is such a great idea! I love reading aloud and being read to, and I'm a big fan of recorded books. S...
