Well, I was so excited to get started that I didn't waste any time. I hope I did a decent job editing. Pretty sure I cleaned up the background noise adequately, so please give me any feedback you have, technical or otherwise.

Oh yeah. One other question. It wasn't an issue for my tests, but I'm sure that, for a longer recording, it will be. I live across the street from a train track, and we get trains multiple times a day, all day and night. If a train comes through, I should just be able to stop and wait for it to pass...

Ok, I passed my 1-minute test! I'm hoping it won't take me too long to figure out things like editing and noise reduction. I've been given some good links that should explain how to do that kind of stuff. Maybe I could just do chapter 17 for now, and see how I do with it, to get my feet wet? Any adv...

Ok! I got my microphone today and I came home to figure out how to do this stuff, and I think I produced a passable sample. Be nice!

I'm looking for my first project to record, and this looks like a really great little story. I'm interested in doing probably two or three sections, at least, but I might need some help getting everything set up. I haven't bought a microphone yet, but I plan to within the next week or two.
