Hello all, I recorded the Mencken introduction today. Once edited, I think it will come in at 40-45 minutes. There's some great language there although I admit I had a bit of a hard time giving voice to anti-semitic sentiments.

I hope to have the edited file available within a week.

Thanks; you know I think I actually own this short story. When I was much younger I ran a little home business selling old editions of juvenile fantasy literature. So as a teenager, I was contacted by Harlan Ellison of all people and sold him some Oz books. I got to meet him in person a few times an...

Thanks! I've got my work cut out for me! I will try to get to this over the next couple of days. D.E. will be a hard act to follow, or to precede, in my case.

So why ticktockman? Just curious. Judy

Hello all, I read over the Mencken introduction prepatory to reading and there is a word which may be the correct word or it may be a Gutenberg glitch and I don't have a paper copy of the Mencken translation in front of me. The term is sforzando and it is in a section about punctuation. Any input? T...

I checked out the link and it looks charming. I cannot speak for Tina, but I think she was looking for enough material to fit on an audio CD originally, but those plans may have changed or expanded. So to be sure, I'd check with Tina regarding length limitations. For what it's worth, I think it woul...

Hi Ted, I am eagerly awaiting your finished recording. It sounds like great fun. If you are interested in taking on another Baum work at some time in the future, may I recommend John Dough and the Cherub (1905)? It is very trippy - featuring an androgynous kid, a live Gingerbread Man and a bouncing ...
