Hear ye, hear ye! The prodigal son doth return.

At any rate, I'm working on copying over the raw audio right now, and will be editing it and uploading it ASAP.

I'll just wait till we get replies from Cassiane and composr before we complete this one. As you know, I'm perfectly fine with the sections as recorded; I defer to any critical comments if edits need to be made. I'll let Cassiane comment on that :). Everyone did a fantastic job, and in such short t...

Some comments on the Nouns section of First Steps

Cassiane, Well, it has been an interesting and mildly frustrating thing to work through Henry Sweet's writing, as he is a bit imprecise when it comes to linguistic descriptions, especially in phonology. First, here are some things I was hearing: Blurred 'r', allowing English 'r' to creep in: *seō mō...

Pronunciation

Well, well, well, the deliquent, prodigal child has returned! I'm a little bit unsure about one or two spots, mostly because I also am used to a different pronunciation system. As best I can tell, his pronunciations loosely resemble Late West-Saxon, but with some simplifications in the vowels, and a...

Status Update

I would like to quickly post and mention that I do have the section recorded, and am editing it. Granting the average edit time, it should be up sometime today or tomorrow

Esperanto's just one of those things that makes me giggle. But in a good, nerdy kind of way.

Great, well I'll put you down for the pronunciation section from First Steps in Anglo-Saxon then. You should now be in the Magic Window. :) I think Leni, the MC for this project, could sort out your catalogue name for you. Sure thing. What name should I add there? Right-o. It's listed right now as ...

Also, you could save the full primer for a solo project. It's fine to split it up into small sections. 10 minutes is not a bad size for a section. If you want read the section on pronunciation for the LibriVox Language Learning Collection, that would be fine. :) If you haven't contributed to any pr...

Okay, Tricia, I'm going to try this again, and hopefully not fail as miserably :p

I would love to claim section 3.

And in such responsible fashion, I will let you know if I cannot fulfill my obligation. :)

I apologise for letting it get past the deadline, and I don't want to selfishly hold the project back. Thanks for getting someone to do it; I'm sure I would've found time with the extra day off tomorrow, but it is better if someone can reliably get it done. I am sad that I wasn't able to finish what...

composr - any progress on the final section? :) Absolutely! Though I had a terrible muscle strain(?) in my neck on the weekend, nothing will keep me from finishing this section :p I feel rather guilty for holding up completion of the project, so I apologise profusely! I will have it up ASAP tonight...

I apologise it is not up at the moment; I was getting horirble fuzz from the mic when I realised that 1: I had the wrong setting on my recorder and 2: the mic was facing the wrong way! :) Expect the edited versions later this evening PST. I will have everything up probably 9 PM PST. *crosses fingers*
