If you like swashbucklers, Scaramouche stars Granger and has one of the finest swordfights in cinema history. Thanks. I do like swashbucklers, and, since I read Scaramouche in high school, I'd like to see this movie version. It has a good cast in addition to Granger. Unfortunately, our public libra...

MollytheCat, According to the Creative Web site, the ZEN Mozaic supports only these audio formats: MP3, WMA, WAV (IMA-ADPCM), Audible 4. The free version of Winamp (a multi-media player like WMP) plays Ogg Vorbis audio files and has "Portable Device Sync support". Another free multi-media is VLC , w...

I have gained a lot of respect for Stewart Granger ... now that we have had TCM for several years, I look forward to his films. (Recognizing this is getting a bit far afield from Watchmen ), the only other movie I'm familiar with which has Stewart Granger is North to Alaska (1960), which costars Jo...

The fix is incomplete: The links in the catalog to the three files
at Internet Archive are all broken, for they still point to the old
filenames with the misspelled title (the files at the Archive have
the correct spelling).

Now that I've figured out what LXG stands for, I'll add my endorsement of that movie, which I've enjoyed three or four times so far. In contrast to Catharine, I find the fight scene between Mina Harker (aka, wossername) and Dorian Gray a hoot. I especially like his change of demeanor when he realize...

I found mp3split and got it to work with the How to page. May try the other program one of these days if it is easier to use. For splitting files, Mp3Splt is probably rather easier to use than Audacity (I've used both). The how-to guide for Mp3Splt describes how to use it to split multiple files in...

Haven't tried it (yet). But I poked about a bit on-line. Here's some of what I found: At CNET's Download.com, Free Audio Editor 2009 has a user rating of 3.5 out of 5 stars, based on 30 votes. There are no user reviews. It's been downloaded 27,712 times from CNET. For comparason, Audacity rates 4 ou...

[FIXED] Exhile by Winifred Welles

Exhile by Winifred Welles, Short Poetry Collection 008
http://librivox.org/short-poetry-collection-008/

"Exhile" should be "Exile" (citation: see the link on the collection
page to the Bartleby e-text).

The wrong spelling is used in both the catalog and all three filenames.

I think Hokuspokus is on the right track. The problem appears to be due to a deficiency in how MS Windows works regarding the order of files. The file manager (aka, My Computer) seems to have some internal order which is not based on filename order (which pretty much means alphabetical order). I hav...

..... and yeh , you will suffer withdrawal symptoms if you lose your internet connection. [LOL] Don't I know it. Friday mid-afternoon, something caused several of the electrical power lines on our street to break in multiple places along a several block stretch. One of the downed live wires started...
