Re: The all-new "HELP! I have an Audacity problem" thread

I've just tried setting up and using Audacity, and the problem was that when playing back, the audio would cut out in the middle of words and make it sound really stuttery and choppy. I reduced the buffering and latency to 50 and everything seemed fine from there...until I recorded my test and real...

I could listen to your voice for hours! The fact that you threw Rod in, only sweetened the deal!

Re: New Forums Help Thread

Does that mean that if I subscribe to a topic and also bookmark it and somebody quotes me, I'll get three notifications? :hmm: I don't think so... At least, I haven't been so far. I just get the notification that there's been activity in the thread I'm watching. It does and I think that is where th...

Re: New Forums Help Thread

EDIT: This option is set from the members control panel. I also just installed a plugin that allows the user to increase the fonts up to 400%. Again, this is listed as a option for each member in their "Board Preferences". http://www.yourpodcastreview.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/font.png This lo...

Re: New Forums Help Thread

OK, question for all you forum experts out there. I used to get an e-mail notification when there was a new post to a thread I had subscribed to. ONE e-mail. Just one, only one, no matter how many people posted while I was away. Then once I visited said forum, I would get an e-mail notification the...

Re: New Forums Help Thread

One needed fix - Please can the MW (and all other links) open in a new tab? That's not possible. In fact, opening links in the same tab/window is standard now. You can workaround this by right-clicking the link and then selecting "open in a new tab". AARGH .. That is just plain annoying when it has...

Re: New Forums Help Thread

I just use <ctrl> + or - (in firefox) to increase the font so I can see and decrease it cos I hate scrolling. Other browsers surely have a similar option. It's not my favourite look either but it's the standard option and experience has taught us that private little fixes always cause problems . We...

Re: New Forums Help Thread

The problem for me is that the smaller fonts and the garish colours mean i can't easily use the new format. Maybe we can ask the admins to up the font size a little. This is how its done in Prosilver . EDIT: Wrong link. Also, depending on what operating system or browser you use, you can adjust the...

Re: New Forums Help Thread

This is a short 5.5 min video showing members how to get around the new member control panel and how to fill out their profile. I can provide the admin a download link if they want to run it off their own channel.

Re: How To Use Audacity 2.1.3 And Higher.

Cool! Metadata isn't required anymore (it used to be, but that changed a couple years ago), so you can probably scratch that one off your to-do list. :) Cool. I thought I read in one of the "Readers Needed" forum that if you wanted to, you could place "Read by Or Narrated by" in the comments field ...

How To Use Audacity 2.1.3 And Higher.

This is a video series I put together customized for LibriVox specification. If you have any questions or would like more details concerning Audacity, just let me know. 1. How to download and install Audacity. 2. How to set your recording format. 3. How to save your project before editing. 4. How to...

Re: Site Improvements List - BC/Admin Link

After re-reading the OPs request, I went through the process and I now understand their request. Your way of doing it outshines any other way by far. :D The footer link plugin was basically designed for social media links as well as quick reference guides like wiki pages, forum policies and external...

Re: Site Improvements List - BC/Admin Link

At that point, the way we have it now is simpler - the BC/DPL goes to the first page of the project and clicks the link under the MW. Well when ya put it like that, ya. :D :hmm: OK, this may be a solution. I think I am getting a better understanding of the OPs question. If they are saying that they...

Re: Site Improvements List - BC/Admin Link

We've currently got about 550 active projects (solos and group projects), so I don't think maintaining a link list with all active projects would be feasible. That is a lot! Maybe if you installed the plugin, then created a locked forum with all your links for your projects, you could have one link...
