Re: How to reduce reverb for under $5.00.

An indoor alternative that I used for some years, is the frame from a camping/canvas wardrobe. They come with fairly light-weight poles, and with a bit of ingenuity can be reconfigured from the original rectangle as desired. That is a great idea. The tips I plan on posting here will mostly consist ...

Re: How to reduce reverb for under $5.00.

In the USA, they are referred to as PVC Pipe and are used for pluming in houses as well as irrigation. Any rigid plastic pipe will work and you really do not need to go above a 1.5 inch diameter. (I think some roman figured out the strength of cylinders a few years back. ) I can not supply yo...

Re: Bookwürm

You are very welcome and I know you will pass with flying colors. I have a few of the Logitech - H390 USB Headsets and they are a steal at $19.99. You may want to look into the Tascam DR-40 Digital Recorder . I own them and they are great for point a to point b recording. They chime in around $179.0...

Re: How to reduce reverb for under $5.00.

Not a problem at all. I will edit the post, remove the pictures and apply the links. As far as the slow internet connections, that must be awful. Audio files are about 10 to 40 times larger then pictures. That would drive me crazy!

How to reduce reverb for under $5.00.

I recently built this homemade face shield due to my not having my sound panels built yet for my second home studio. I should have had them built weeks ago but my wife keeps adding items to my honey do list. This link is to a picture that shows where I used 3/4 inch pvc pipe that does not need to be...

Re: Eliminating annoying mouth noises?

Hello! I'm just getting started with Librivox, and I just made my first recording. I'm listening to it now and I'm discouraged by the fact that I'm making lots of annoying mouth noises. Wet sounds, you know. It's pretty distracting, and I'm pretty sure it would drive people crazy listening to it. H...

Re: New Forums Help Thread

Okay, here comes some snark from an admin, since apparently we're good at that. There are reasons we haven't fixed some things or installed some third-party plugin that will be supported for who knows how short a time or may cause issues later on. Thank you! phpbb is no different then WordPress. Wo...

Re: Hi, from Indonesia

I was raised on spicy foods. It's funny as I seldom use salt and since I do most of the cooking, I made two of everything. The wife does not like the spiciness like I do. I visit this site often for recipes. Well, it is 7:30am and now I am hungry. :9:  :9:

Re: New Forums Help Thread

Thanks for the reply MagicMan. Unfortunately, that setting was already selected. I checked the links in a couple of other sites I use frequently. Some of the time it opens a new tab and other times it replaces my original page. <shrug> Oh well. I'll eventually get used to right clicking everything ...

Hello and WELCOME to LibriVox!!! Personally, I prefer dynamics for home recording but the choice will be yours. The specks for LibriVox are as follows. File format mp3. 41,000hrz. Mono not stereo. Constant bit rate not variable. 128kbps. Volume range between a 86dbs to a 92dbs with 89dbs being the t...

Re: New Forums Help Thread

One difference from the old forum I haven't got used to yet, when clicking the BC Admin link to the MW, the MW opens in the same tab, if you click back the from the MW the libriVox.org main page opens. The old forum would open the MW in a new tab. :? I too find this challenging. It also happens whe...
