Re: The Principles of Psychology, by William James (1890)

Sorry for any confusion. That is a psychology focused site that publishes works that are PD in Canada, however given the book was published in 1890 in the US I believe it should be good for Librivox. Here are scans if that helps (I just posted the text assuming that might be more convenient for read...

The Principles of Psychology, by William James (1890)

Hosted here by the site Classics in the History of Psychology Why would it be interesting to read? Look at the chapter titles! I imagine it would work well as a group read, since the chapters can be read separately and still enjoyed. Wikipedia : "The Principles of Psychology was a vastly influential...

I'm so glad to see you took up this suggestion, and although I'm still fairly new around here, I would be happy to proof listen for this project if that service is needed. :)

Re: Illegal Food, And Food That Ought To Be Illegal

US here: raw milk cheeses. A unique and in my opinion wonderful food experience to seek out for those traveling in Europe, esp. France. Meanwhile, our government has decided for us that the risk of disease is too high (a debatable assessment) to allow citizens to make educated choices for themselves...

PL note for section 11: please reduce the silence at the end to approximately 5 seconds. Save with the same filename, upload and post in the thread. Everything else is great  Issue should be fixed! https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/introductiontothedevoutlife_11_desales_128kb.mp3 3...

Martin Luther, by Carl E. Koppenhaver

Project Gutenberg entry

Might be an interesting project for 2017, 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. It looks to be fairly short.

Re: ~[group] Introduction to the Devout Life - phi

Hi, I would like to volunteer to read section 2. I've done a 1-minute test and a poem, but this would be my first project. Just curious, is there a limit to the number that you can volunteer for? If not, I might want to volunteer for more depending on how it goes.

Hi, wanting to get more involved

Hello all! I'm a big fan of the classics. First, thanks to all of you who have contributed. This, to my mind, is one of the greatest achievements and shining fulfillments of the promises of the Internet. I have listened to a few of your audiobooks since discovering Librivox in 2010. My subscription ...
