Re: Bad news...

Professional journalists and radio/TV presenters often use cars to record short news items, in the UK. They sometimes do it (record, that is!) under a blanket to deaden any sounds.

Re: Short Story Collection 80 - lt

Hi - sorry to be a pain again, but my latest Conan Doyle story is 1:04:55 as recorded and PL'ed by me. I can't seem to find ones I haven't yet done, which are under an hour. It has failed the Checker test but only due to it being longer than an hour, as before. If it is too long I could perhaps subm...

It just doesn't take as well in some as in others. Campbell...

Re: Audiobook Narrating

Recording to video is harder because unless it is possible to cut and change the angle of the shot then it has to be done in one take. You did extremely well, and the "almost" stumbles were perfectly OK and only people like us who do recordings will even notice. They were so well covered and small t...

Re: Audiobook Narrating

Well, it sems like I make a hell of a lot of mistakes compared to those readers. I also swear a hell of a lot more as well. I think and hope though, that I don't just read the text, as in the first example (the guy that was pretty bad). I do try to put some expression into it. I suppose the thing th...

Re: Is the microphone on Apple EarPods good enough?

I do plan on investing in a decent microphone for recording in the near future. What would you guys recommend? Which microphones do you think have the best value? Steven This depends on how much you can pay. Mic's can cost anything from 20$ to $6,500 There are many mic's in the $50 - £300 range tha...
