Re: Making your reading sound Great

Regarding narration I would say that these six things have helped me:- 1.Speaking quietly with no strong explosives (I'm only recently doing this as an experiment) 2.Intonation/Inflection 3.Rythm 4.Diction 5.Speed of reading 6.Making sense of the meaning of a phrase. I have thought of maybe making a...

Excuse me butting in ! I think that background noise sounds like some noise either in or out of the room. Can you hear it when not recording? Sounds a bit like a machine of some sort or even a computer fan.

Re: [SOLO] The War That Will End War - dc

Thanks to both sskim and craigdav1 for the encouragement. Sorry about the big hold up - I took on a big book project which turned out to be over 9.5 hours in length. Hope to get more organised next time.

Re: Audioliterature and Audible

I looked at mp3audiobookclassics and they are not that perfect as they frequently gave H G Wells dates as 1850-1894 when 1866-1946 is correct. Unless of course I'm wrong and this is another H G Wells?

Re: Need recording advice from seasoned readers

To give an idea how slow editing can be - I've just edited 6 minutes of finished material and it took me ..... One hour ... that's 10 minutes for each minute! But that's hopefully the worst case and included searching out some missing files and getting them into the correct order.

Re: Need recording advice from seasoned readers

amitshama - I have problems with editing like everyone else - it's a hard slog. And I have big problems with promounciation - and not only those foreign words. Also, I couldn't hand over my work to edit because of all those swearwords ... (But I am getting better at not using them so much). Yes, my ...

When I record I throw everyone including our dog out of the house and switch on the electric fence around the garden. (It's only 200 Volts so pretty harmless ...
