Thanks for the complement. This is perfect work for detail-oriented perfectionists. ;) I proofed chapters 6-10 and only found one error. Verse: 9:50 Time: 28:59 Error: said, "Thopa" instead of, "Thopo" And they built strong cities in Judea, the fortress that was in Jericho, and in Ammaus, and in Bet...

I havn't been able to find any PD verisons of 3 and 4 Maccabees either. I did find the other projects you mentioned. In fact, I proof-listened what you've done with 1 Maccabees. I'm glad to know that you plan to record 1 and 2 Esdras and 2 Maccabees. I'd be glad to help prooflisten them as well. :)

Okay, so I won't argue about having the disclaimer in EVERY file (though I still have no idea why this is such a major deal). What I will beg for though is to have single-file, single-declaration versions posted so that those of us with bookmarking ability get to listen to the book rather than the d...

You're right Choc in both the things you mentioned. I don't expect to solo all of this, and I do plan on getting my feet wet first. I think there are some of the Apocrypha short enough for that. I also expect that they will all be done, as you say, eventually. What I was thinking, though, was that w...

I understand that the disclaimer is worded the way it is for a good reason, and I'm not complaining about that. What I don't understand, and what I'm complaining about, is why the disclaimer has to be repeated at every single chapter. I mean, when is enough enough? Should we say it after every page?...

There is a volunteer who is making pretty much what you want here: http://librivox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14030 You will still have to listen to the disclaimer but it loads into iTunes and book marks the chapters and where you left off. You could send him a PM and ask for a particular book. Esth...

You're right, a substantial number of the "apocrypha" have been completed in either the DRV or KJV. However, I should define more clearly what I mean. By "apocrypha" I am referring to all the deuterocanonical books of the Septuagint bible. Of the books in question, the following have been done or ar...

I proofed the first chapter and found three errors. Time: 3:04 Verse: 1:21 Error: said "to" instead of "against". "And after Antiochus had ravaged Egypt, in the hundred and forty- third year, he returned and went up to [text reads, "against"] Israel." Time: 3:14 Verse: 1:23 Error: said "gold" instea...

KJV Apocrypha

I think it would be very helpful to narrate the King James Apocrypha since they are not available on audio for purchase, to my knowledge at least, and I have also been unable to find anyone working on narrating them here on librivox. A narrated copy of the KJV Apocrypha on librivox would make a fine...

Single-file, single right-declaration audiobooks

I really like librivox and am very glad to have this wonderful resource of literature on audio, but if there is one thing I find difficult about it, it is that all the books are broken up into tons of separate files. Not only does this make the audiobooks hideously cumbersome to move around the comp...

Oecology of plants by Warming, Eugenius

I would be interested in getting this book narrated. It is the cornerstone of modern ecology and it looks to me like it is in the public domain. Here is wikipedia's article on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%27Plantesamfund%27_or_%27Oecology_of_Plants%27 and the online text + info: http://chla.lib...
