Re: OPEN [Dram Read] Under the Lilacs by L. M. Alcott-mas

LOL, thanks for the info. I know he isn't the nicest in the book, but that's OK. My concern is that I don't know how to sound like a bully. I think I'll do my best then mess around with audacity settings until he sounds as genuine as possible. I can't wait to tackle it. :D ETA: Do you mind if I als...

Re: OPEN [Dram Read] Under the Lilacs by L. M. Alcott-mas

Unfortunately, whoever reads the role of Ben has to say that word, yes. But just think of it as a referral to something he said in the past. He's not saying it in earnest; just talking about it to a mentor who gives him good advice about how to rid himself of such habits. The scene has a good moral ...

Re: Dramatic Reading (DR) Suggestions

Hey I saw different people were thinking this would be a good book to do as a dramatic... unless someone else was planning to BC it, I would be interested. Ideally, I'd like to have an assistant editor (or someone who wants to edit it all) and hopefully a narrator before launching. I could DPL ever...

Re: ~OPEN [Dram Read] Under the Lilacs by L. M. Alcott-mas

No, this is GREAT! Especially from someone with so many lines in the book! Thank you!! (oops, sorry, forgot to note the KB) That's fine. I could be wrong, but I don't think it's necessary to make a note of the file size (--just the time length--), anyway. Just letting you know so there's le...

Re: [Group/Kids]Boy, The Wandering Dog by Marshall Saunders-

I think slower is usually better.
For me, when I try to read slowly, I feel like I'm speaking unnaturally slow, but then when I go back and listen to it, it actually sounds more natural and easy to follow and enjoy. :)
I also make less mistakes when I read slowly.

Re: ~OPEN [Dram Read] Under the Lilacs by L. M. Alcott-mas

Possible mistake spotted in Chapter 7: Thanks for the hint, Lian! This is part of the narrator's text as you mentioned. I'm sure Twinkle will edit this soon :) Yes indeedy, zwergwolf, I'll get right on that! :) Thanks for catching it, Lian! (And if you find a similar mistake later, just read it lik...
