Re: [FULL] Measure for Measure by William Shakespeare - kit

Should I be making note of the length of the files? Half the time I forget to.

Re: [FULL] Measure for Measure by William Shakespeare - kit

I'll just Elbow my way in here. https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/measureformeasure_elbow_2_1.mp3 https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/measureformeasure_elbow_3_2.mp3 I've always felt that Elbow is related to Dogberry of Much Ado About Nothing. So, when we eventually get to THAT play... :D That takes...

Re: [SOLO] Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens - icequeen

Three more chapters read. Only six to go.

I find it interesting how I feel so emotional when I get to a horrific part of the story that I knew was coming. After reading Chapter 47 I had to catch my breath for a moment. I hope I did the passage justice.

Re: [SOLO] Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens - icequeen

Three more chapters read.

I think my Mr. Brownlow voice is too close to my Mr. Losburne voice, so I hope people can tell them apart, now that they're in the same conversation in Chapter 41.

At long last, Fastidious Brisk Act Five. https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/outofhumour_brisk_5_128kb.mp3 There still remains my "hums" from an earlier act. I know I was told you would edit them. But it still concerns me that I used melodies that hadn't been composed yet when the play was written. ...

Re: OPEN[PLAY]Every Man Out of His Humour by Jonson - thw

I am still awaiting word on whether or not my humming classical tunes as per my last post is acceptable.
Also, I will get Act Five done in the next few days. "Real life" has been quite busy these last few days.

Re: [SOLO] Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens - icequeen

Read through to Chapter 35. Looking ahead a few chapters I noticed that the title of Chapter 40--which I have yet to record--seemed a little odd. The Project Gutenberg text gives it as "A STRANGE INTERVIEW, WHICH IS A SEQUEL TO THE LAST CHAMBER." The word "chamber" didn't make much sense, and so I c...

Re: OPEN[PLAY]Every Man Out of His Humour by Jonson - thw

Fastidious Brisk corrections to Act Three https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/outofhumour_brisk_3_128kb.mp3 Even though the puffs were my idea I realized that puffing on a pipe generally makes no sound at all. Nevertheless, I briefly inhaled audibly and inserted the sound into the file. I'll admit I...

Re: OPEN[PLAY]Every Man Out of His Humour by Jonson - thw

Sort of like how half the characters in The Tempest are almost ignored in the final act, isn't it?

Re: OPEN[PLAY]Every Man Out of His Humour by Jonson - thw

I think my question got missed, so just in case, I'll ask again. Would you like me to play a rustic?

Re: OPEN[PLAY]Every Man Out of His Humour by Jonson - thw

Thank you for the compliments. I'll take your advice on the "hum" part, and also see if I can come up with a believable "puff" sound.

And I forgot to ask if you would like me to also read one of the rustics--in a different voice, of course.
